I've just busted the nearside drag strut on these rotten pot holed roads, and it's still too cold to get underneath, at least it's a chance to poly them I suppose. Martin.

If only ! 20 mph and couldn't avoid it 'cos of traffic, hell of a bang then constant knocking, I got a SOCTFL one from Wards, so hopefully back to normal tomorrow. I'm looking at sueing the council. Martin.
martin ,i thought i heard somewhere that there was an issue with dragstruts and that they could fail prematurely.the answer it seems was a small mod a plate welding to the strut or suchlike which strengthened them and prob gone .not absolutely sure what exactly but read it somewhere and would be keen to find out more.good luck with yours.

Beautiful early mk1 white tv8 mod? MGB GT and now looking for another V8
SWMBO has just knackered a tyre on her Rover 75 on a 5 inch deep pothole just down the lane from the farm. Couldn't be seen as it was full of water, and the tyre was new in November. Claim will be going in to the council

Thanks Steve, my old girl's done 51.000 miles in my ownership on the originals, I'd read those reports too but I guess I've been lucky - till today. The SOCTFL ones are made of thicker steel and don't need reinforcement. Martin.

Steve/Martin ,
I read that the issue was that poly bushes on this item can cause the ring shaped cup to shear off of the chassis rail,I have now gone back to rubber on this item.
