Window trim

Hi Gents,

finally got round to fitting the trim that fits around the hardtop rear window. i now have sore fingers and its still not fitted, i have tried string and a small hook, washing up liquid, liquid soap and WD 40, it still wont fit!!!!!! what am i doing wrong or is just me. the bottom and one side fit well, but the nearside just wont stay under the seal at the top, advice please as i'm all out of ideas now

I read on another forum that there are 2 types of trim and that the new rubbers will only fit one type, if you have a new seal you need the wider lip type of trim. Hope the person posting on the other forum does not mind me passing this on - I cannot take any credit - might be worth looking into?

Thanks Giles, all the trim came off the same hardtop so i guess if 2 of them fit the 3rd should, will have another go today see how i get on, thanks for your input and i will take note, maybe i had just been at it for too long. will let you know how i get on with it

ok i give up, chiped my hardtop in 2 places and now i have had enough, i think you are right giles, i will have to see some others or buy some from somewhere
