The most amazing thing that has come out of this so far is the French. They are actually flying on missions etc rather than chewing straw and waving a white flag. They usually have one forward gear and 5 reverse gears with overdrive, or was that the Italians in their tanks?

Did you know that the French got their flag from a dispute with the Italians? Yes, its true. Both the French and Italians wanted a white flag so they decided that the Italians should have a green stripe on their and the French a blue one.

Amazed me as well. You were thinking of the Italin tanks though. The Rifle-droppers (sorry I mean the French) ones are usually lined-up in a sort of honour parade on the border closest to Germany with the keys left in the ignition.

This ^^^^ is a great picture of the Italian armoured corps in action - I am told it confuses the "enemy".

In situations where it is suspected that they wil need to retreat quicker than normal, they even have specialist tanks ........

I'm so glad you started this thread. I thought I might be alone with this thinking. I know it's political and not stag related but.............. WHAT THE HELL ARE WE DOING, why do we always get involved in world crisis situations.
A collection came round last week in my wife's office for Japan, she only gave a couple of quid, but I went ballistic, they don't need money!!! Give it to the elderly or the needed HERE! Right, climb down now, have another beer. Rant over.
