    MOT History check

This might be of interest to anyone who has just bought a Stag (or any vehicle)
You can check the mot history with DVLA.
Check the MOT status of a vehicle, get MOT reminders, checklists for MOT testers

I'm not sure how far back it goes, my Stag has only been MOT'd the last 3 years then a 17 year gap.

    Cheers

Wow! Brilliant information...learned a lot about the history of our car before we bought it...and why the seller (specialist garage) kindly fitted so many new parts when he...erm serviced the car ready for our collection.

Also found out that the epoxy resin that was used to repair the n/s front outrigger was slapped in,in 2007...passed MOT's since then! Call me oldfashioned...but I think I'll replace the fibreglass stuff with metal.

Oh No! Wish I had'nt bothered now.
I bought it in 2008 and in 2006 it had an advisory: Signs of standing, some perishing and corrosion. Hope it meant just the tyres

                    2007 Pass
                    No Advisories

2008 Pass - My First MOT
Offside Front wheel bearing has slight play (2.5.A.3c)
Offside Rear Shock absorber has a slightly worn rubber bush (2.7.4)
Nearside Rear Shock absorber has a slightly worn rubber bush (2.7.4)

                    2009 Pass
                    No Advisories

                    2010 Pass
                    No Advisories

Not too bad :-) - The result of the slightly worn bushes was me completely rebuilding the rear suspension!!!

Can I make it a hat trick in 2011 I wonder?

                    Rgds

It goes back to when the MOT system went computerised. c.2005 I think.
I use it alot, it is very useful to back up the mileage of a car, or to see if a car has been clocked - which I have seen a few times.
