Hi All. Whilst completing my renovation and starting to move the car around and in/out of the garage I've noticed an annoying intermittent electrical fault. Sometimes when I turned on the side lights ,the main ignition circuit came on, even with no key in! Also the side lights sometimes developed a mind of their own and came on of their own accord. The cause...a simple case of one of the spare fuses (supposedly held in the fuse cover) had dropped down and was intermittently shorting across the bottom of fuses 2 and 3 which control these 2 circuits. My advice would be not to keep any spare fuses inside the cover. At least it was a no cost repair, for a change! Mel.
