Hi to all Forum members.
I have been a Stag owner since Feb 1992 when I purchased the car from near Reading when I lived down south. It is an early 74 MK2 model and was originally Magenta. I have had it completely resprayed in Sapphire Blue. I am the 6th owner and used it as my daily transport for around 6 months before taking it off the road to carry out what I believed was a small resto job. The car had 96k on the clock when I bought it and I covered about 6-7k in that period with no issues what so ever.
To cut a long story short - it has taken a long time to find someone who could complete the welding work to a satisfactory standard (had one Muppet completely bodge it
) - but the shell is looking good now.
I am slowly piecing together all the parts to try get it on the road for this summer. I am currently struggling with some electrical gremlins, but have found previous threads on the forum that have helped tremendously.
I would just like to say a big thanks to all the members who participate in answering the threads and passing on their invaluable knowledge, as I would be totally stuck without it. Also the pictures and diagrams tell a thousand words - so keep up the good work.
