    Hello from the Midlands

My first post and intro, I was looking for a 70`s roadster after some 10 years of house renovations and very very nearly bought an MGB roadster requiring major resto work, for some unknown reason I walked away with cash in hand. Whilst away in Lincoln on a touring caravan outing by chance I came accross a `72 K in Pimento, MOD for sale on a driveway, pure car with original engine, seats and wheel trims, after further surfing including extensively on this forum, the deal was done, she went straight through the MOT and is now in my garage and WOW what a car and a serious near miss, (no offence to the MGB) but year for year the stag seemed so advanced, I plan to enjoy her and look forward to some open top motoring listening to that fabulous noise prior to ongoing work through the winter months plus I can throw the kids and dog in the back too! Would like to say keep up the great work on here, it really is a wealth of information available to the discerning newbie buyer or the experienced with new problems , fantastic, any other members local??

      Yep, welcome from me too.

It's great to get new members on here and I hope you'll find it useful and interesting.

There's just so much more to a Stag than a 'B' and I'm sure you won't regret your choice - well maybe just occasionally but then you just listen to the burble and everything in the world is great again !

      Cheers

      Julian

Ps I'm not local (although spent lots of very enjoyable time at Stapleford Park near Melton) but bearing in mind where I live then maybe I could change my name to Cheddarstag !

Yes I remember, we did wonder what was falling off, lol ( first real trip out, but she ran great)and couldnt hear the door wind rush with the roof up, give them the hurry up with yours as the weathers picking up great and feedback your views on your work as I will require some work done possibly this winter months.
