Why does my Stag have to fight me all the way? I was/am looking forward to a nice long drive from Kent to Devon in the Stag and sods law, the petrol tank has decided to spring a leak.
I am not happy!

.
I have a couple of questions,
Firstly I have attempted a temporary repair by fibreglassing the bottom of the tank this evening. It is currently perched on its side in the boot! - is the fibreglass likely to hold for a while, or will petrol disolve it in a few hours? I am hoping to reassemble it tomorrow evening and head down to Devon as planned if at all possible.
I have ordered a new tank, would it be sensible to use the POR15 Fuel tank sealer to make it ethanol friendly, or is the inside of replacement tanks coated with something suitable anyway?
Cheers
Dave
