Went out last Friday for a drive and the stag refused to start after being parked up.Had a look under the bonnet and noticed that the fuel filter had no petrol in it , so I thought , must have rund out of petrol even through the gauge was showing near half full, so went and got some petrol. It then started but two or three miles down the road stoped again , no petrol in the filter again, anyway got it going and made it home and I have ordered a new petrol pump from Paddocks which I will fit this weekend , anything I should do other than just change them over?

I have just had the same problem, but I replaced the pump with an electronic type, about the same price from Rimmers, although made by Quinton Hazel rather than Lucas, does the same thing but with more reliability, the old points type pumps do have a habit of failing just when you do not want them too!!
