Afternoon all
I am in the process of cleaning the underseal off the rear floor pans now and to a complete job of it inside and out I need to remove the rear subframe locking straps. Question is... am I ok to just release the bolts holding these to the floor area and move them slightly, can I assume this won't affect anything un-toward?
Might seem a daft question but I haven't touched the rear suspension as yet and I thought it best to ask before undoing the parts tomorrow. I only need to move them a clean, paint the area inside and out and apply new seam sealer to finish off the job (one at a time too). Which is surprisingly rust free!
Is the plate on the inside welded in place or loose?
I am getting near to refitting the interior again now so should be back on the road in a few weeks
just in time for the rain knowing my luck!!
Cheers
Glyn
