Can anyone tell me what adhesive would be suitable to stick the seal to the bonnet?

The original one had plastic clips moulded in to the rubber which then popped in to holes on the bonnet. Have you got the holes on your bonnet?
I got a new seal for mine a few weeks ago and hoped it would have the clips but it didn't so I was faced with the same question as you. I was going to use evo-stick as I've found it to work really well everywhere else but I thought that the curve of the seal might be hard to replicate properly so I've made holes in the back part of my seal (which are almost hidden by the front part) and used some plastic clips. The seal is now in the correct position as I've used the original holes but as it wasn't made to be fixed with clips, they do distort it somewhat.
