distributor with Electronic ignition

Afternoon all,
Just bought myself a new distributor with Electronic ignition ffornm the ignitionland, anyone had any experence of these and anything to look out for when fitting?

Hi.

I fitted one of these last week and it works fine. Take a look at the thread below.

Pretty stright forward to fit but as I state in the thread below, make sure you choose the correct mounting bracket. It's the one without the pin for the Vacuum advance.

I just noticed you bought the whole distributor, The thread mentioned abaove is just for the ignition

Just picked up the distrubutor from the carriage company, and no instructions are with it???
Am I right in thinking that the black wire goes to the coil as nornal and the red to a 12v power supply, if I am right with this which fuse do you take the supply from? Thanks in advance, was trying to get it going to go to Cholmondely castle tomorrow but not so sure I will make it now.

I've connected the black wire to the coil negative, and joined into the wire from the inertia switch that goes to the fuel pump, then if you have an accident the switch activates cuts the power to the fuel pump and also the engine.

Just got back from fitting new distributor, got it fitted and the car fired up and will idle ok, but when I rev it up it will not return to idle, it just cuts out, but will start first kick again. Will have a go next weekend with the timing light but I dont think it's that much out, any ideas????

I've been looking at buying one of the Ignitionland systems - actually thinking about buying a complete distributor - and I was reading your posts from April/May. How are u getting on with your system?

Grateful for your thoughts on the systems - should I buy?
