    Wind deflector

    Hi Guys,
i bought this one from flea bay for £35, i have looked on their site in Germany, 79 euros. i know it will not cover the back seat, but it fastens on the bottom front edge of the rer seat, or the bottom of the front seats. it fitted perfect, no mods and no clips, drilling holes etc. i just clipped it on the roll bar, let it dangle, it was wide enough for the centre bar to fit nice and snug between the chubbys and B post. what a diffrence no wind, very pleased with it
    what do you think?

      Alan.
That looks great I was thinking of something similar to make myself but that one will do the job.
where did you get it from?

Looks good Alan and great Value for money. I've got some nylon gauze type material in the hope of making one but was coming round to the idea of buying polycarbonate. However that was going to cost £40+ just for the polycarbonate so I reckon yours looks like a far better idea.

Like the others have asked, website??

        Cheers

          Alan

          hope the link works

Looking at the site they also do one specifically for a Stag,

At that price they must think Stag owners are rich

            Regards

i did see that one Bruce, after i had bought it, as you say they think we are all rich.

hope this helps you guys out, i did google it and can't find a supplier over here for them, perhaps a search on the VW dealer site, mmmm then again?
or the VW club, perhaps a member could help us out.

i am really pleased with it though and i cant believe it has made such a difference in the car, i should have done it long ago, i can even close the soft top without taking it off, it came in bag rolled up, very easy to store and takes about 20 sec to fit, and that was the first try. i know its mesh but i can see through it, just, it rolls to about the same width as a roll of wallpaper, and flat, even the postie managed to get it through the letterbox!

                  Alan,

That does look quite neat and you can't complain about the money.

I have one I bought on the bay from an Audi A4 (the mesh type) and it makes a remarkable difference - mind you I tell people it's to stop my daughters whinging about messing up their hair

well SWMBO has had a little gripe over her hair, she can now put the scarf away lol, she likes it too so thats a bonous and justifies the cost, my kids are grown up so there is only the 2 of us, second bonus, dad cant play taxi anymore with the Stag

i looked at the Audi deflector, but the cost put me off, i didnt realise though how much of a diffrence it would make, i'm looking at this one with extending the bottom to fit over the seats, i will need to get SWMBO to get the sewing machine out

I got the Audi one for £60 IIRC from the bay, so was pleased at that but would certainly been tempted if I had seen this one. Is the framing quite solid?...just wondering about flexing.

I have got daughters of 17 and 19....they HATE the Stag and say it is embarressing! The youngest has passed her test and has a car so has no need to suffer the indignity of being in it but the eldest had to when I pick her up etc but whinges like mad!

                        Hi Ian,

My wife works at a local school - she's a matron in a house of 14 - 17 year old girls (No I don't get the chance to help her ) and nearly all of her girls think it's 'cool'

                        Cheers

Ohh damn, shame you don't Julian!!

Have to say that the young girl (probably 20/21) who work at the print shop I go to thinks it's cool too and said she wouldn't be embarressed in being seen in it.

My wife and 21 year old daughter both think it's a very cool car and love riding in it, but only with the breeze breaker and only in the front seat! Hence it's very rare they are passengers in it at the same time!

                            Bob.

mmmmm my 24 year old says i'm sad, living in the past, see was born in the eighty's, missed all the good fun we had, they think they have good times

piscean, if you look at picture 4 if fits snugly between the seat backs and the B post, top of the chubby panel, no flapping about at all, even at 90mph, i tried it to test it out, there are 2 snap fit plastic buckles on the bottom edge, with eleastic to fix permanantly to the seat bottom or the front seat back bottom edge, i will hook mine on somehow, but in all honesty it stayed where it was without fixing the bottom edge. it is just mesh with 3 poles stiched in, well made though and there are no real gaps at the sides
