STAG WITH A LEAK!

Hi!

Here hoping someone out there can help!

Have recentley aquired a 74 mk2 orriginal v8 fitted-and quite new soft top-car has masses of history and mechanically sound-so decided to treat her to a complete interior refit...looks superb now with one problem.....rear seat wells completeley sodden! car is standing on drive-had driving rain recentley...have checked every seal and cannot find any obvious entry point!!!!...part of the refurb included fitting new door cards as the old ones were totally sodden through- I even took extra care to fit the poly curtains in the doors(believe often missed)...the boot is dry and have fitted new rubber seals on windows! when I stripped out I made a point of checking bulkhead sealing.....

Anyone had similiar experiences? am utterley lost where to check next!

Had the same problem. If you look by the B post there is a chrome cover, that’s used to attach the hard top. Under the cover on both sides of the car there is a drain tube.Is used to drain the water, Pound to a Penny you will find that they are blocked.
