I have one of V Mads early Weber conversions with 135 main jets. I fitted an AFR gauge over the winter and noticed that it was running weak on cruise, around 16+. On advice from V Mad I contacted WEBCON, they said I should have 140 main jets as on the later kits and 170 air correction jets, standard is 185. AFR on cruise now 14.5-15.2, which I think is spot on? Car definitely more lively. Should be an improvement on the 130BHP I got on national day, if I felt like subjecting the car to that treatment, which I don't.
I brimmed the tank several times today, I did not measure the consumption from Sussex to Berkshire. Fuel consumption from Berks to Prescott including 2 runs up the hill and back to Berks at 80MPH+ was 26MPG. A more gentle run back to Sussex at 65-70MPH gave 30.5MPG. ZF 4 speed Auto.
