I'm thinking of a leather re-trim on my Sapphire Blue. The current interior is Shadow Blue. I was thinking cream leather, but a couple of people have suggested grey leather. I've not seen the Sapphire Blue/grey combination. If anyone has any photos out there I'd be grateful. For that matter, I'd be grateful for any Sapphire blue/cream leather pics too. Thanks...

I have a cream leather interior which I think has been in the car for around ten years (I've had it three) and I dont find it a particular problem to keep clean, I just use autoglym leather cream every few months. However, my car is russet brown and IMO grey would suit saphire blue far better than cream.

I would not go down the two tone route if it was me,keep it simple and it will look classy, good quality leather the right shade of grey and craftman ship is whats needed.Take the time to find what you want, the results will be worth it, may be worth asking different trimmers to send you photos off there previous jobs and samples of different colour grey leather they use
all the best

Richard,
I like grey leather a lot (it's in my M3 and that forum sees it as the equivilant of white paint here) but never been at all sure it works with the darker blues.
If it were me I would go for leather the same colour as the current interior without a second thought.

I'm a great fan of blue / grey and have had three cars like that in recent years.
On the Stag subject, how far would you go with the leather? I thought about it too at the outset, but there are so many different bits and bobs like door cards, tonneau cover, cubby panels and the like that I reckoned the cost for leather would be astronomical. The subject of getting vinyl and leather in the same grain and colour (not black) seemed too daunting, so I decided to stick with the original vinyl. The answer isn't 42, it's 1/137

You're right Dave! I could have sworn when I was mulling over it a year or so back that the auxiliary panels weren't listed in leather - only the seats. May be mistaken though. Wow - hood stowage cover trim: vinyl £18, leather £87 !
Think I'll stick to vinyl and tell everyone I did it just for originality's sake! The answer isn't 42, it's 1/137
