Hi, I am starting to hear some creaking noises and other sounds (what sounds like sticking splines) coming from my drivers side rear driveshaft. I would like to fit a new set of driveshafts but they will need to handle the punishing power of my Chevy LS1. I am fairly sure the Datsun driveshaft conversion will not handle the power. Does anyone know the power handling capability of the Rilsan GKN solutions? Are there any other solutions?? Thanks Spin.

No announcement yet.
Are there any stronger Stag driveshafts that can handle around 350HP?

BMW E30 Rear end complete with diff/shafts/disc brakes.
You aren't putting 350BHP through the standard stag diff are you?!
The rilsan coated driveshafts are still the standard shafts but coated in 'rilsan', as far as I am aware?
Nice problem to have!!
Cheers

MikeNo I have a BMW E30 LSD but have it all going through the Stag driveshafts. I knew the driveshafts were the weak link and it is to be expected with the power but now I need to find something that will cope.

Spin, I'm sure a man of your talents could make the bmw driveshafts fit onto the old stag hubs.BTW, really pleased with my BMW transplant now i have finally got positioning, tyre size, diff ratio etc sorted out.

Excellent, seems like a new era has arrived for the Stag!
One of those V6 Cosworths would go well in my 1981 Lotus Esprit.
Are you aware Peter Hills on this forum is looking for wildly modified Stags for articles in the Mag?
Let me know how those Datsun driveshafts go. Spin
