    Carburetter leak

    Hi all,
I have a leak from the yellow plastic plug at the bottom of one of my carbs. Is it just because the rubber O ring needs replacing or another reason that needs fixing first.

    Thanks
    Mike

It'll just be the O ring I think - if the fuel was under pressure in the float chambers it would come out of the overflow. Should be a simple fix.

Hi Mike, yes, it will just be an O ring needed. Cheap fix. Do both at the same time

Hi Mike I have just changed mine. Remove the air filter & elbows & assosciated pipes. Remove the vacuum advance connection on the off side carb then the nut to the centre pedestal. You do not need to disconnect any cables to get access to both bungs. The replacement seal is smaller than the old seal as that has become bloated with fuel.
I wonder if this has been caused by Ethanol in the fuel?
