After a week in Switzerland some years ago, and keeping every petrol receipt, my old girl (auto) did 31 mpg overall, extreme I know, and most was blatting along French Motorways all day (GREAT!) but it is an accurate figure. When I play with her locally, that can drop to 18mpg but worth every drop. Once warm, 22-24 mpg is normal. Considering what delight I get from the driving it's not a problem. None of that is excessive in a car like ours, it's a V8, that's what you get ! Martin.
