First,thanks to guys to my message posted 30 April,coolant leak,got it sorted-okay now.Afraid i have to sell the car due to drop in income and have it for sale in the mag.Afew pepole have viewed it and put of by the rattley engine.They think it is the timing chains of which would not be a problem for a good mechanic,but my mechanic thinks it may be the tappets of which he says can be a fiddley job and time consuming thus costly.My question is -if it is the tappets at fault,is it a time consuming job and is there someone in east sussex who can diagnose and competent to fix the problem?Do not really want to sell the car but finances dictate.Any ideas?
