    Replacing choke cables advice please

After my recent troubles with the sticking choke, the car actually seems to be running and starting well enough, however I've decided to bite the bullet and have booked it in to a local specialist to get it checked and tuned.

I'm also getting him to replace the choke cables as one of them is frayed and is certainly sticking. I've looked at a couple of choke cables listed by dealers on Ebay. I see Robsport list one as having a 'removable knob for ease of fitting'. Is it better to buy this one for the few extra pounds it costs?

YES ! short answer but there you go. I've dealt with Robsport for years and they're first class folk. No connection etc. Martin.

While you are having the cable replaced, consider moving it to the right hand side; this means the cable does not have to bend sharply and get caught up in the radio wiring. Also easier to reach! You will just need to swap it over with the hrw switch.

What Chris said is well worth the effort - I also got a spare bonnet release handle/cable from martin at Justriumph, and fitted an extra bonnet release on the drivers side (a bit of belt and braces in case the other side stops working and I can't open the bonnet.)
        cheers,
