crankshaft

Hi everybody,

I'm rebuilding the V8 of my Stag (a "real" one, the 3L...), and I need, as a lot of people I think a crankshaft. But I can't find any. Do you hace any idea where to find one ?
I preocise that the old crankshaft can not be exchange because it is out "hors cote" (excuse my French but I al French and I don't know the English word for that).

By the way, I need also news cylinder heads. Very difficult to find as well.

In July it will make two years that my Stag does not work any more...

They do recon cranks and cylinder heads.

It's a starting point for costs etc

Finaly I found one at Rimmer Bros web site. I've received it last week.
I hope I can start rapidly to rebuilt the engine. It is two years long that my Stag is out of the road.

Well done Francois (sorry, can't find the cedilla on an English keyboard !) and good luck with the rebuild.

By the way, there isn't really an easy translation of 'hors cote' - literally it's 'outside of side' but I think we'd describe it as beyond repair, or more simply, buggered

It's only those poofy mauve ones which are referred to as "la" Stag!

By the way, when you say you are the Stag Whisperer does that mean, like the film, that you help out Stags with people problems rather than people with Stag problems?
