    Leaking Stromberg

Hi Guys, for the second time in as many months I have a leak from the offside Stromberg. The first one was the plug in the bottom. I cannot see where this one is but suspect the float chamber gasket. Is there anywhere else that is prone to leaks?
I have done over 1000 miles since the first leak.
Adopting my Stag Paronia hat could this be caused by Etannol in the fuel as the Stag had lived in France for a few years before I bought it?

The cold start or choke mech is another common leak point. The offside one seems to be be worse, not sure if the spindle gets more load on it from the choke cable than the nearside. Mine didnt have a Gasket under it and others have reported the same. Not sure they did have gaskets originally. They do supply gaskets in the kits though. I made one up from gasket Material and it cured mine.

Hi MB, thanks for that. I disconnected everything except the fuel feed and was able to support the carbs by the side of the car. I had a good look with fuel pressure applied and it turned out to be the float chamber gasket.
