hi all when you have sold something on ebay how long do you give them to make contact about picking item up i was told three days is this right thanks stewart

I usually send an invoice straight away,then if no contact has been made send a message after 3-4 days. On the few occasions when I've heard nothing after 1 week I open a non-payment case with ebay. Saves me paying fees, that's all. Ebay support are pretty useless.

I try to make contact the same day but it has been up to a week if work intervenes. If I am collecting I always contact the seller immediately and make arrangements to suit them and me. Mostly any trouble I have had is the seller not making contact following payment!

Buyers also don't always read the bit about "collection only" I have had a number of issues with people wanting the impossibly heavy stuff posting!
