    I love my Stag

    Pointless post really.

I haven't driven the Stag since last Friday due to crap weather and beeb havign withdrawal symptoms. When I got home tonight about 9pm it was still daylight and not too cloudy, so I just had to go out for a tootle around.

    Very enjoyable

    Fwiw

i dont think its a pointless post i know what you mean, i didnt drive mine for nearly 3 weeks, just had to get her out and blast around a bit, i did put it on here at the time, love my stag too, the driving is the best part of it all, top down, foot down (a bit) makes it all worth while and the smile inside is the best

i've had a niggle since i have had her, the glass in the wing mirrors always rattled as we shut the doors, all sorted now no more rattle that makes it even better

After what you went through originally and how long you had to wait you deserve every tootle you can get Ian

You should take a tootle out to Ireland and visit the house that Malcolm C found http://www.stag.org.uk/forum/showthr...-Magenta-house

      Cheers

Exactly Alan, and I too have been gradually working through the annoying little rattles on mine. Drivers door mirror - done. Tonneau cover catch - done. Bonnet - done. Drivers seat - done. Hood frame - done. Then there were the little electrical things. Non working indicators - done. Non working fuel guage - done.

Thanks Julian. I know others here have waited longer but mine was what?....September till April not being able to use an otherwise perfectly road-legal car all, as it turned out, due to the starter motor. Add that to the 25 years since I first started to hanker after a Stag, and I do LOVE having one to go out in now

Good to see your enjoying the Stag Ian. Hope all your niggles are now in the past. Just fitted new set of inner main beams as the old ones were well past there sell by date ( corroded inside lenses ) Took a few days as someone had botched the wiring at some point. I'm deffo not a sparkie, so probably took me 10 x as long as someone who know's what there about.. LOL

            Hi Mike,

That's one of the great things about a Stag, or any old car. You can learn as you're doing things and so next time you have to do a similar job, you'll only take 5 times as long as somebody who knows what there doing

I hope you're enjoying your car to the full as someone else, like Ian, who had to wait ages but for a different, and more expensive, reason !

            Cheers
