Rimmers propshaft, advice please!

Hi all again,
I have just collected this item, purchased of good old E-bay, a "re-con" propshaft.
After getting it home, I see the gaiter on the splined end has split, leaking out the grease from the CV joint! Does anyone know if this gaiter is replaceble or have I bought a "wrong un"?
I will try Rimmers tomorrow if no one knows, I thank you!

my friend has just had a bedford cf propshaft recon'd and it had a cv joint on it the propshaft place said do away with it as their nothing but trouble???
wether this will affect your prop i dont know???

I don't see why it shouldn't be possible to get a replacement boot. However, The standard Stag propshafts only had UJ's. The only place that I recall selling CV jointed prop shafts was Rimmers so you may be able to buy a replacement through them. Have you contacted the ebay seller or ebay itself about the prop you bought. If it was sold as a 'Re-con' one you should expect it to be in one piece!

Many thanks for replys, The prop was advertised as "used" and "reconditioned", I also assumed it should have been in one piece but it was only £20 so not to worried. I will contact Rimmers and hope for the best..................
