STILL GETTING OIL IN THE v

Gent's, still getting oil in the V but can't seem to find from where. The cam covers are not leaking and there's no oil coming from the dash pots.
Funny thing is that it seems to be intermitent. Sometimes I have, and clean it out and then the next run bu**er all. STRANGE!!!
The garage that I now use suggested that I should tighten the heads, as these do not appear to have been torqued up for a long time.
What should I torque these up to, and could it be a leaking head gasket. Deffo no water.

Torqued up to 55 lbs / ft this evening and will wait and see if the leak continues. On closer inspection it seemed that there was a slight seap from the drivers side head.
Fingers crossed that re-torque has helped, or hopefully stopped it.

Hi Mike is it the rear of the drivers side head that is weeping,if it is check that its not oil driping from the
Vent pipe that comes from the off side cam cover and into the air filter.another place to look is the water pump
I used to get oil; in my V I was told to check the water pump I fitted one of Stag dads external pumps and never had oil there since

Well guys never replied fully to this but what I did was checked all the areas mentioned and finished off with torqueing the heads to 55 lbs / ft. This seems to have eradicated the oil in the V problem, and having covered about 100 miles since re-torque all seems dry as a bone in the V.
The olnly studs that seemed to have backed off were the two on the right hand bank forward, facing toward the front of the car
