New member intro

Hello everybody just a line to introduce myself,my name is Steve and I live near Bishop Stortford in Herts.
I own a 1978 stag with an original triumph V8 engine, manual with overdrive, the colour is russet brown (I know you love it or you hate it) there is a nice brown soft top, bit of filler here and there under a brilliant respray, great underneath few small leaks, one water, one clutch, one oil, I will get around to fixing them eventually probably with the help of you kind people on the forum should it all get to much.
In the meantime I just use it as much as possible as I prefer to drive the stag more than any modern car.
I have just fitted rear side windows as supplied by Bosscreens November 2010 owners club magazine page 37, these really work and my daughter can now travel in the back with her head held high instead of staring at the floor !
Thats the intro over I can now go back to reading the pages on the forum which I am unsure whether they depress me as to all the things that can go wrong or encourage me that so many people know how to put them right.

I know what you mean about possibly getting depressed by what you read on here, but bear in mind it's a bit like the newspapers - the bad news gets published but the good stuff doesn't often get printed ! Besides, if we all posted saying 'Car's going fine today' it'd get a bit boring

You'll have to put some pics on here - if you haven't fathomed out how, there's plenty on here who will help, and please feel free to ask away whatever questions you want - we all like that.

we all get a bit of paranoia from time to time, but if you find you are missing her then its all worth it, as said, this is where we all solve problems, bearing in mind there are a lot of users so compare that to all the tinkering we do, i dont think its too bad, we have a laugh too, quite a lot of the time, so its all good, just be ready for a few jibes.

White is the best
