Hi Ian
Due to me keep dropping ipods and breaking them I have tried to put my itunes onto my htc desire through a programme called doubletwist but no go,im wondering if its anything to do with windows 7.Any idea?
Mark
Mark, I am a newbie to android phones having also just got a Desire. Impressive piece of kit but, boy, doesn't it eat the battery! If you are prone to droping ipods though, I can't see the Desire surviving!
I have a few apps Gary, and had downloaded the one you mentioned already this afternoon. What a great thing...I can't wait for the night sky to be clear so I can have a proper go with it.
I also have a few oddball apps. compass, decibel meter, accelerometer and car locator. the last one looks promising but I've not used it yet. you tap your location when you park your car somewhere and the gps will guide you back to the same location later
Google sky map is very clever. I tend to just use the boring ones the most! ebay, wrc,bbc news, sat nav, twitter where I follow a number of F1 people but most of all I am one here! Never thought Iwould use a phone so much for so much other than phone calls!
for music power amp pro - is brilliant.
as a launcher - go launcher
slient boot for htc desire users!
go sms pro is much better that the standard app
clockr is a nice home screen widget, its very simple and clean
dropbox is brilliant, make your files accessible anywhere
money tool kit, best ap for keeping an eye on your bank account
Speedview is a great on screen speedo. i like to have it at the side as its more accurate than the cars speedo
the ebay app is good as well
just to name a few
I seem to have a few on mine that I don't use and probably wont, but I like Swiftkey, Maps, Speedview (have yet to try the night mode projected onto the windscreen like a HUD), PDF Viewer and Quickoffice.
Google Sky Map looks great and I am dying for a cloudless night so I can go and try it out!
Data Counter widget, which is extremely handy for download data especially when outside the UK. Clinometer is the last one I downloaded. It is remarkably accurate and having just rebuilt my front end, I shall use it to check out my camber, as neither strut was shimmed when I took it apart and the camber looks out somewhat.
I've got one called MyCarCheck - punch in a registration and it gives you details of make/model, year, cc bhp etc. Always looking up cars I see out and about. Also use Viber a lot to call other iPhone users over the Internet for free. I've been calling the wife on it every day from germany, it's great.
