I enjoy the challenge of repairing thing when possible, for me that's a big part of this hobby of ours. Being able to say to yourself 'I fixed that from Scrap' is very rewarding

Will do some pics for you Saturday. Will post them here for all to see what you are taking on
If I read your profile right you are only in Chester we could meet up fairly easily.

can't do this weekend but might be able to do the following one or through this week even. Let me check out the roof first then I will try to sort something out for you.
yeh sort of? I have had them both out of their storage and opened them up and they both look ok but I havent had chance to get them apart yet. They both have a broken link to the side rail (at the drivers side I think) (can't see now its gone dark!) and they are both still covered in the roofing material. I will get chance tomorrow (am off work this week to work on Stag) to get them, stripped and have a proper look
The news unfortunately requires a retraction! One of the rails is almost as bad as yours, now the material is off it is clear that the tin worm has been at the edge where the "foam?.... composite crumbly damp holding rot forming stuff" sits and the end where the link is broken has rotted away and split. It looks like the roof has been used with the link broken and so the damage is quite horrible. The other one whilst not as bad is on the way in the same "foam stuff" area. Which means I have a similar dilemma... repair or not? Probably will repair the better one whilst keeping the other as a template or back up plan
Sorry for the mis info and keeping you hanging on but I really thought these bits were OK.
