    diesel in Tank

I had just done the most silliest of error? Put Desial in the Stag.

Fortunately I realized what was happening after 3 pounds worth and stopped. The tank was a just under half full so i drove the 100 hards home to get the car home without issue.

So my question is what should I do next.
Is there a risk of any damage.

    Helps as always appreciated.

From previous experience, fill it up FULL with the correct fuel, I do not think you will have any problems. A couple of litres will not do any harm, trust me!

              It was really annoying mistake.

I read somewhere the this V super unleaded was good for the car so I decided to try it. I saw the Super V and started to fill the. In the bottom left corner I saw the diesel written.

Could not believe it did this?

Off to India for a week tomorrow so will have to wait to try the above proposal when I get back. Hopefully standing won't cause a problem.

spot on..................... if you only have a little in there, just fill it up with regular fuel and you will be fine - top up regularly to continue the dilution every 50 miles or so.

Totally agree with all the others. I used to work in the industry and often saw this happen.

3 quids worth = 2 or 3 litres?? Dissolved in to 50+ litres of petrol, no problem.

I actually heard people saying their cars ran better on that sort of a mixture

                  Cheers

I agree...such a small amount of diesel won't harm your car...but it might smoke a bit from the exhaust (diesel is an oil). Don't worry about this as it will clear when the fuel is used up.
