Pre Engaged Starter Solenoid

Hi

I recently removed the starter solenoid on my starter motor to clean and paint it. The boot on the solenoid is split - can I get another one? When I tried to refit the solenoid, I could not get it to bolt up as the actuator arm restricted it. Is the plunger meant to pass over the top of the arm?

The boot is available but its not as soft as the original.

I think it is a 'moss plastics' item?

Not sure about plunger / arm....does it go through?

From memory I think you do have to maneouvre the solenoid arm up & over the actuator to connect the two.

It hooks over the arm that operates the dog I found it easier to hook the plunger on first then the body and bolt it up.It will bolt on either way but put it the wrong way and it won't work (if my memory serves) check it before insallation
