    Seat bolsters

I have just been up to pick up the back of my drivers seat from VMad who has replaced the side bolsters.

This is the first time I have driven a Stag with good side bolsters and they made the seat really supportive and very comfortable.

An excellent job at a great price - thanks Chris.

Have to agree, i did mine over the winter and makes such a difference. Trouble is I might have to do the passenger one now even though I thought it was ok before! Not really a job I want do do again!

          Giles.
I found my 2nd one quick and easy to do. The benefit of experience!! The most awkward part was finding the screwholes for the back panel.

thanks John - might have to get on and do it then rather than pretending it does not need doing!

Use an old drill bit, works every time. Martin.

                I know that feeling!

I lost patience with mine and tried to drill new holes. I now have a couple of snapped drill bits embedded in my seat somewhere. I put the seat back in the car with the middle pair of screw left out.

Remove the screws; align the holes using a scriber or other thin pointed tool and then you should find that the screw will go in. If not have a beer and try again. Repeat as necessary.

The problem is that the original holes in the vinyl seat material are unlikely to line up with the holes in the metal seat frame. If I had to do it again I would pierce new holes in the vinyl before trying to refit the back panel, then use the drill bit to line everything up.
