Which hole for the clutch slave cylinder rod?

    Hi all,
just fitted new master and slave cylinders for the clutch on the stag (1974 mk2) and I was just wondering which hole does the slave cylinder rod use on the clutch release baring connectong arm. There are three holes in that arm, so which one do you use? Before I replaced these items it was connected to the top hole but looking at it why does it have three holes?Help please.

    thanks

    Tony

As Dave has rightly mentioned, it uses the middle hole as standard. The other 2 holes can be used if the clutch does not have enough travel or has too much travel.
