My son and daughter in law have just given birth to my first grandchild, a bouncing baby boy. As they live in Colchester and I live in South Yorkshire, I'm going to be travelling down there on a regular basis. So if you see a silver stag, giz a wave

Congratulations sir, I'm more jealous than you can know! Enjoy ! Martin.
You could always get yours painted Silver if it made you feel better Martin
It's a comforting thought mate, but I've got two Daughters, both with long term partners, and neither with any interest in kids. They never do what you hope they will ! Martin.
I never understood why people got so passionate about grandchildren, until we got our grandson a couple of years ago. He is now 22 months and after several weeks of him looking at 'grandad's car' in the garage and being allowed to sit in and peep the horn, etc. he finally got to ride in it last week. We had to take him back to my Daughter's house (10 miles) at the end of a day of child-minding. It was a lovely warm day, so I moved the child seat from the Audi to the back of the Stag. You should have seen his wide eyes as he was lifted into the seat. He loved the experience and it made my day............... You have these experiences to look forward to. Magic!
