Hi Dave - have not used green stuff pads but I have recently fitted some Unipart ones from LD Parts - what I have found is that they create a lot less dust on the wheels than the old Motaquip ones that were on there before, so if you do not go for Green Stuff might be worth using these.
I've been using them for over 2 years, about 13/14k miles, I changed the disks at the same time, and I have not noticed any accelerated wear on them ......... Andy
They work perfectly well however it's hard to say if they're better or not as I replaced the discs at the same time so I can't really compare. I've only done about 1000 miles so too early to tell about disc wear.
As for brake dust, it doesn't seem too bad and possibly better than standard ones.
As others have said, they are the same size and fitting wasn't a problem - I do however think it's a bit of a con these days that you have to pay extra for the clips and pins (you never used to !)
I also have LDParts pads and there is very little brake dust. The only reason why I would buy the Green stuff one's is that I would hope they would have more bite than standard ones and I am not bothered about discs wearing out as I would rather have sharper brakes.
Do these pads work well from cold?
What if you had to do an emergency stop just around the corner after you'd started up. Is the stopping distance greater?
I've got them as well changed discs at the same time EBC they came as part of the package they have done about 300mls they are better than the orignals (but then the discs wer'nt that good) to be honest I've still quite a lot of brake dust but perhaps I'me a bit hard on them (Auto as well) Graham

Just to stick my 2p in, I'm on my second set, they generate much less dust than standard, last longer, work from cold once run in and do not fade. Running in is speeded up by a thin abrasive layer. Dearer yes, but on balance, well worth the difference. Martin.
Replaced pads last year but not discs. Pads came from J.P.'s and were block standard type. Not to much dust and during the MOT ( Vauxhaul dealership ) the guy did comment " This things got better brakes than some new cars that we see "
However I did also fit new master cylinder around the same time.
I was happy that my brakes seemed tip top considering that I had used block standard parts from J.P.
I have stock brakes stainless braided hoses all the way round and silicone fluid the car stops just fine I have had to pull up sharp a few times and was a bit surprised at the braking, in a good way. I think braided hoses would be the best return of investment before going to EBC green stuff etc.
