what a git of an afternoon!

Took the Stag out for a short test drive to try out the new wheel studs and nuts. Stopped in a layby to check their security which was fine. Whilst there I popped the bonnet. The engine was rumbling nicely but then I noticed one of the spark plugs was vibrating loose! Managed to nip it up with a open spanner. On the way home it had a total electrical failure at a set of traffic lights. Took five minutes to trace the fault and fix. Upon arrival home I discovered the hood rear locking spring would not release. So out came the rear seat and sorted the cable clip fault. What an afternoon! The stag certainly seemed to be having a mood! GrrrBruce

True. Its probably that I have become complacent about its reliability. I hop into it and expect it to work fine. I suppose she was just letting me know that she does not like being taken for granted.Bruce

True, but you don't want her to become a prima donna!

It gets plenty of use as its out most weekends. I only work 1 mile away from where I live so no point in using it to go to work in. The Stag has done 2,400 miles so far this year and it should rack up another 800+ next month. I reckon she will be touching close to 4,000 by the end of the year.

I think our cars are in cahoots with each other! The Nissan needs a pair of new front tyres, the GT6 has ignition/carb issues at the moment and the Stag was feeling left out despite a £100 worth of new wheel studs & nuts last week.

yep you're right Bruce, just wish i could get out more in mine, i have bumper to bumper traffic on the way to work for about the last 5 or 6 miles, i mean crawl, its a good 17 miles to work and is a good run, till i get to Nottingham, then its all stop. i must say though i have an original set up no kenlow etc, and even in the hot weather we have had when i have taken her she stays in norm on all the guages, and i do watch

My Stag bites back sometimes too...often at very inconvenient times as you know!! Glad you got it sorted.
