Exhaust hanger repair

Hi Guys, I am refitting the exhaust after changing the Diff oil seal & Bearing and have noticed that one of the subframe exhaust hangers is broken on one side. The break is about an inch behind the top hole. I know that LD Parts do a repair hanger but that requires welding a facility that I do not have. Has anybody carried out a repair in this area without welding?
Your suggestions would be appreciated.

I looked at alternatives when one of my hangers broke, and couldn't see any viable alternative. Bit the bullet and dropped the whole rear end out on to the floor, and welded the busted bit back on with my MIG.

It took less than 3 hours to do it start to finish, and I could have wasted much more trying to bodge it.... sometimes the right way is the only way....

Hi Russ, thanks for your reply. As I do not have your facilities I carried out a BDR which should hold it until I drop the back end for refurbishment in the Winter. I will post pictures in the next few days.

Hi Andy, thanks for the offer but I have already carried out a BDR (Battle Damage Repair). See photo's. It should last until I can drop the subframe over the winter. The bracket is secured using a trailing arm attachment bolt. The only metal I had to hand was an old hinge and that is why there are more holes in it than required.
