hello everyone my stag passed its mot today and it was the first run since its had a new crankshaft ect .i was worried you know how it is after youve just had the car in bits but it got me there and back without a hitch apart from the rad pipe touching the alternator.i had a few advisories n/s headlamp too high o/s headlamp aim too low (he let me adjust them) not bad considering they where removed and replaced during all the work and come to think of it milothedog donated a headlamp (thanks ian).n/s r tyre worn (swapped with spare)steering column top bearing slightly worn (new about this and thought id try my luck)o/s/f wing indicator not working(loose bulb) and slight movement on both track control arms bushes, the bushes are brand new and he said it looks like the bolts are moving in the sleeves(he did show me) but let it go through as i said i would order new bolts(does anyone know if there is movement on theirs maybe they are meant to move as its a soft compound rubber?.anyway i got the ticket then drove round to milothedogs house got in to a lot of traffic and she was fine she felt a bit heavy but i think she just needs a tweek here and there all the best dean

That's magic Dean, all that graft's worth it ! There shouldn't be any movement at those bushes, are they polys ? are they pressed in equally? I've had them pushed through the arms part way before. Have you tried tightening the bolts a tad more ? Hope I'm not teaching my Granny to suck eggs. Martin.

Ian.
Wonderful - shaker plates ! he's got to find a classic friendly tester, not some spotty 17 year old. Martin.
