    Where were all the Stags?

Just got back from a 300 mile round trip from Exeter to Sunningdale and haven't seen a single Stag. Saw several Aston Martins and a Ferrari 599 in the car park at Wentworth. Several Rollers , Bentleys and a Maybach. Even saw lots of the new Range Rover Evoques which must have been from a launch demo event in the area. But Triumph Stags? Not one.Dave

Stags are elusive, they don't need to be seen, they just know they are the best

Stags have too much class for Sunningdale. Was your trip worthwhile otherwise?

Sunningdale is about 8 miles from me Dave ,so they were close and Tim Shoubridges stag was about 2 miles away,Andy Rundell's about 4miles,Al arbman's about the same. You just didn't look hard enough.

        Cheers Steve

          Hi Dave

If we had known such an esteemed member of the SOC was in the area, we would have put a parade on for you

And you were in your Stag?

          Al

Should have made a prior announcement.....

Sadly not in my Stag, Al. I travelled up with my Son and Nephew in a Vauxhall Astra. We had lunch in the Windmill (can recommend their haddock and chips) then on to Wentworth where a work colleague showed us around. We had use of the practice facilities (driving range and putting green) then to Sunningdale for a round on the New Course. Met Paul McGinley who was out for a stroll with his labrador and golf clubs.

Thoroughly enjoyed the day, especially as it was free, including the petrol! Good job SWMBO doesn't have any interest in golf; it would have been suicidal to have let her see some of the houses in the area

Perhaps next time I get an invite I can arrange to stay a little longer.

Dave, if you had been a bit further into Surrey, you would have seen Russ out and about in V8 powered bath tub and loving every minute of it!

For those of you with RV8 Stags, it appears Russ' knowledge about that engine is pretty good as well.

Hi Andy, yes that's the one. We were there from about 12.15 to 1.30. It was whilst sitting there that we saw dozens of those new Range Rover Evoques out on demo drives. No Stag though......
