    Booklands Museum

The museum now includes the major new attraction of Cobham Bus Museum. This fantastic bus collection is on display in a specially constructed shelter, and opens on Monday 1st August.

The car rides also start on Monday, so if you want a fun ride on the historic race track (Mons-Fris only) please come along (hopefully my Ford Spartan will be operational soon!).

Back in the late 80's I was doing some work at BAe when they had a site at Brooklands, and at the time I worked for Frazer-Nash, who, apart from making cars way back, also built powered gun turrets for bombers in WW2. Because they had both Frazer-Nash cars and turrets there me and my colleagues got invited to look round the museum when they were still setting it up, some time before it opened to the public, so we got a lot closer to the exhibits than you can now. I remember at the time there were loads of buses just parked out the back by the track, so I presume they are part of this collection? I haven't been back for years, so will definitely go back there soon as its a great place.

Depending on the weather I am going there on the 8th to meet up with the guy who I sold my Tiger Cat too up in Enfield. He's spent a small fortune on it and is keen to show it off, and he want's to see the Stag
