    Rolling Road at National Day

    Page 13 of the mag at the bottom, mentions that there will indeed be a RR at ND.

    Who's up for it?

    It would be good to see some before and afters for those with Webers, and will Alan retain bragging rights?

    id like a go ,but is it stags only or can we try other marques cos im not comming in mine wont be ready.

      Steve I would think your money is just as good as anyone elses.
      I think I should put mine on for a comparison for when I fit the efi also last time it was with the holley which made 133bhp IIRC,now running stroms which feel really good at the moment.

      Need to get an early run when air is nice and dense.

        If you really fancy listening to your precious Stag revved to 7000 RPM - then carry on ! Personally I can't stand listening to it being done to other peoples Stags, least of all out of idle curiosity! Martin.

            Yeah - the Bath chair's no problem - I just can't stand the sound of all those bouncing valves I thoroughly enjoy opening up the old girl and out running reps BMWs, 4500 - 5000 rpm is not an unfamiliar sight, but 7000 ? nah ! Martin.

              Who says you have to go to 7,000 anyway? The Stag redlines at 6500 and is capable of more.
              RRs are useful tools for setting up engines after mods etc and no more stressful than briefly running up to top speed on the road..... er I mean private track!

                      It didn't exactly blow up, just bogged down and died, it turned out that the timing was at 0deg somehow? Also I suspect that my Lumenition has been playing up for some time now.

                      Stagmuffin survived at 8,000rpm at Engiunity the other year!

                          I see no prolems with non stags, unless there is a queue of stags waiting. I'm sure they would limit revs if you asked nicely they are good lads.

                            Didn't realise there was going to be a rolling road there again. I missed the national day last year, and wasn't going to go this year because of work commitments, but I might have to see if I can swap my afternoon milking. It will be the only chance this year to see a valid comparison of my latest effort against other Stags, though with it being its first run I expect a few issues will surface

                              I may invest in some jets for the weber and have a go, but I may have to walk away while it's on there. I really am too sympathetic to be a service engineer where I have to put diesel engines on full load!!!
