On the way home from a SOC BBQ that E-Lad had organised I came up behind an immaculate Jaguar XK140. Problem was the owner was dawdling along and I was in hurry to get home for my tea. No probs I thought, I know a shortcut where I can get in front of him. Bugger me, he knew the same shortcut. Grrrr
.
We emerged onto the main Chester - Nantwich road and both start to accelerate. Next thing I know he has fluffed his gearchange and we nearly rear end him. Sod this I thought so dropped a gear and floored it. My little lad waved at him as hurtled past
. That was the last we saw of the Jag.
Presumably the pressure of being followed by a superior vehicle was affecting his ability to drove his car
