    Bottle jacks at Machine Mart

    Hi All

Any of you gor experience of either of these bottle jacks on sale at Machine Mart?

I am looking for one to go in the boot of the Stag for wheel changing duties etc. The trolley jack takes up a lot of valuable luggage space when going on holiday etc.

    Regards

Bruce, Bottle jacks, though compact, sit quite high. Just make sure you will be able to get the jack under a suitable point with a deflated tyre.

        Bruce,

I would agree with Brian, make sure the jack will fit with a deflated tyre, also bottle jacks are not very stable - OK for a flat concrete drive but the road could be sloping and any vehicle movement (air blast from a passing lorry) could cause it to topple. If you don't have the space for a trolley jack why not use an original scissor type?

Hi Guys. Good point about the fact that the tyre would be deflated! Whilst measuring up under the car I had completily forgotten about that point!!! DOH! Regards Bruce
