BW 35 Advice Please

Can anybody recommend a company / garage that could look at my auto box in the west midlands. I'm Bromyard Worcester area. The output shaft is wobbling around too much. Must be a bearing to the rear of the box, but can't find any info on the forum or find any body's brains to pick. Mike

These guys did a great job rebuilding a BW of mine in a Jaguar. They are a family owned friendly firm. I'd recommend speaking to them.

Mike. The gearbox output shaft is supported by the internally splined end of the propshaft when it is in place, so when the propshaft is removed, it will wobble about. There is a bush in the end of the gearbox extension which can wear, but this will show up if you can move the propshaft about when it is fitted. I doubt if there is anything wrong with the gearbox itself.

Thanks to everyone for their help. Prop comes out tomorrow for rebalancing new seal goes in the end of the tail. Hopefully this will solve some of the issues. Will be back on the forum later in week with the next installment. Mike
