Try the two nut method, locking two nuts together on the stud then try undoing the bottom one hoping the stud will start to undo.
Put a search in 'head gaskets' and you will have hours of fun seeing how various people have tried different ways to get the poxy things out.

If you mean studs, you can lift the heads using the rope down the spark plug hole and turning the engine over after the cams have been removed.
Then the studs can be cut, leaving a sufficient amount to grip and remove from the block.

I didnt believe this would work until I tried it.

The bottom end may be overloaded, but on the engine I did it on it was fine.

Whatever method you use to lift the head its best to remove as many studs as possible.

Hope this will help a bit, remove the nuts and bolts from the head get the best release agent you can we have a product called PB Blaster which is the best I have seen, pour it into the head holes leave to soak. Get a copper or brass bar and use that to hit the stud with a hammer what you are doing is trying to shock the stud and break the hold on it. It is best if you can have the end drilled and threaded to screw on to the stud that way you will not damage the stud thread. Next try the double nut again first tighten the nut like you were installing the head then break it loose and then double nut it if you have an impact gun use that to tighten/ jamb up the nuts. I thought that some one on this site had made a head puller over on your side of the pond that would help. Good luck
