    NOS Hardtop

Has anyone spotted that Rimmers have got NOS Hardtop(s) for sale - or have I missed out that they've had them for ages?

Though not cheap, if they had them a year ago when I refurbed mine, I think I could have been tempted.

That's a rare find. It might be a good investment for SOCTFL if they do eventually decide to re-manufacture hard top parts. It does look quite beaten about though,

I can not ever imagine any hardtop parts being undertaken by the SOCTFL, there would always be something more important to be remanufactured. Most hardtops are never fitted now that the vast majority of stags are summer cars only. Pity really, when I bought my stag 25 years ago it was used as my only set of wheels for 4 years, and I loved the change of seasons from soft top to hardtop, then back again, it was like having a new car every 6 months!

They did carry out a survey to test opinion on whether people wanted repair panels for hard tops a while back. I have no idea if any conclusions were arrived at though.

The survey still seems to be open as well!!

The last time I saw that, Rimmers were trying to flog it at the Chester Nationals in 2004, for £1500. Martin.

            lol, oh dear!

Is it as 'lumpy' as it looks in the photos?

It looked OK 7 years ago, but it was surrounded by chortling Stag owners. It just looked old and rough. Martin.

I looked at this when I was in Rimmers a couple of weeks ago I can't remmember the price but I've always found Rimmers willing to negotiate. It was in their main showroom, shell only in brown primer. Looked ok, a few scratches and dings, certainly not perfect.
They were also selling brand new original MGF shells for £900!
