Its not difficult, I'm sitting here.
For most of the summer I have been plagued with ignition gremlins on the Stag engined TR, missfire at high revs, and occasional cutting out.
I swapped quite a few bits with the Stag to find the source of the problem, and ended up fitting a whole new lumenition system, dizzy cap, rotor arm, plug leads, ignition coil, ballast resistor and eventually ended up binning the over rev limiter as that went wrong as well (it was dissconnected when things first started going wrong so I knew it wasn't that, except of course when I reconnected it after changing everything else as well, it also malfunctioned)
I had purchased two sets of plugs earlier in the year, when I built the engine for the Stag, so I thought it couldn't be those, but after reading about Kevin Garrods missfire problems I thought sod it I will change them again, and ordered another set from LD parts
When I removed them I thought they looked a bit on the large gapped side, and not as new as they should be ( gaps were 37 to 40 thou)
However , the new plugs did the job and for the first time in six months it has run properly at high revs
Imagine my disapointment tonight, when rooting through the shed looking for a bit of screenwash hose, that I found a box of 8 brand new plugs still with Peters picking label still in the box.
Yes Muppet that I am, I had forgotten to fit the bloody things
