Advice or help with Windows please

Hae been restoring my doors, fitted new skins and bottoms etc.
I have replaced the old worn out door glass felts with new.

Problem, the glass is now very tight and the window motors cant cope.I can hardly slide them up and down by hand

Has anyone experienced this and has a solution to ease the pressure. I have tried some grease to no avail.


Any suggestions gratefully received

Hi Sparky
Yes, this is a common problem as its the new seals causing the problem. There was a thread on here a short while ago so search under windows or similar and there was a cure. I think it was trimming the seals slightly.

So, the main thing is, its not you or something that you have done

Looks like the frames need to come out again to trim off the "WINGS"
