Another option is to fit the Smiths temp / oil gauge. MGB Hive is the best priced source, or Ebay. Martin.

That's the kiddie, takes the place of the Stag's most useless instrument, the temp gauge. looks good ! Martin.

          Thanks Martin,

To fit the capilliary sender you need a TE5 5/8" UNF M-F adaptor, I also blackened the gauge rim with Matt Enamel to match the rest.

Clock works, but loses about 20mins a week. has anyone ever fitted an up to date mechanism in one of these clocks?

Dave, There was an article in the SOC magazine a while ago giving a step-by-step guide on how to transplant the internals of a Rover 75 clock into a Stag clock. I am sure someone will be able to locate it and scan the article for you if you can't find it.

                Dave,

Save you the bother. Just remembered it was one of our Caledonian friends who did it. Found the article on the Grampian Stags website: http://www.grampianstags.net/clock.htm

                    Thanks Dave,
looks a simple enough job to fit the Rover 75 clock parts and there seems to be a good supply on fleabay!

                    Yes Dave,
I got the gauge form MGBHive http://www.mgbhive.co.uk/

                    cheers
